Qamea Resort and Spa is an exclusive tropical destination for discerning travellers seeking a truly unique and authentic Fijian experience without sacrificing luxury or service. From the moment you step onto the island, you will feel as if you have entered a Fijian village set in a South Pacific tropical paradise.
The jewel of Fiji's northern islands, Qamea is a breathtakingly beautiful island of dramatic lush, green, tropical jungle clad hills and white sand beaches.
The cuisine at Qamea can best be described as South Pacific Rim, which is similar to California Cuisine. The fruit and vegetables are organic, and if not from their own gardens, they are flown in three times a week from New Zealand. All of the seafood is local, caught daily by Qamea fishermen. The beef and poultry are also flown in from Australia and New Zealand.
At Qamea, complimentary continental breakfast is included daily. Also on offer is full meal inclusive rates and an In House Dining Meal Plan. For lunch and dinner, the menus change daily, and you will always have a choice of two entrees (starters) and three mains with at least one vegetarian option. Every afternoon at around 4PM afternoon tea and homemade cakes or pastries are served, and snacks are always available between meals.
Qamea has 11 authentic Fijian Beachfront Bures, 2 Honeymoon Bures and 1 Honeymoon Villa, 2 Royal Beach houses and a 2 bedroom Royal Beach house.
Qamea and her neighbouring islands offer a tropical paradise of adventure and beauty. There are a wide range of complimentary activities including incredible snorkelling, Hobie cat sailing, windsurfing, sea canoeing, hiking, croquet, visiting one of the local villages and lots more. The diving is also world renowned, and with a fully equipped PADI accredited 5 Star dive facility, the diving staff can introduce you to an underwater adventure you will remember.
Come experience some of the world's premier dive sites, located just off the white sand shores of Qamea Resort & Spa, and nearby Tavenui Island. Qamea's fully PADI accredited 5 Star dive operation features such world-class dive sites as the Purple Wall, Qamea Freeway and more. Most of the dive sites are within ten minutes of the resort, so you will not waste valuable holiday time on a dive boat. Qamea also offer charter dives to the White Wall and Rainbow Reef in the Somosomo Straights and to their favourite dive at the Yellow Wall.
Qamea Resort & Spa have partnered with luxury surf pioneers, Tropic surf, to bring undiscovered, un-crowded and untapped surf breaks in North Fiji to the forefront of Luxury surf trip enthusiasts' minds. Between November and April, Tropicsurf will offer an expert Western guide located onsite. From the moment you step onto the island, you will feel as if you have entered a Fijian village set in a luxurious South Pacific tropical paradise, and will now have the option to surf the secluded and untapped breaks of North Fiji.
A fifteen minute boat ride from the resort will find you on the outer reefs that receive any swell from the South. The right hander, named Maqai, is the most consistent wave in this set of reef passes. This wave offers three sections. Experienced surfers can work their way up the reef and find a hollow barrel before working a rippable face and mellower barrel section through to the mid part of the wave. The end section is fun for intermediate surfers and I have even taught "never ever" guests out there as the wave dissipates into a deep channel. Maqai has something to offer everyone. Qamea Resort & Spa is your hottest surf destination.
During your stay at Qamea Resort & Spa, take time to unwind and delight your senses with treatments in our new Jungle Spa, or if you prefer, in the privacy of your Bure or Villa.
For the non surfing partners, Qamea Spa offers an extensive menu of Fijian body therapies and French facial therapies featuring Guinot products that relax, rejuvenate, revitalize and renew your mind, body and soul.
Nestled deep in the jungle, your own private spa bure awaits you...
